Mary KuhlmanMary Kuhlman, a high school Spanish teacher in Kalkaska, Michigan, was recently blessed with the gift of song. Not only a musician, but a talented lyricist, this site is devoted to Mary Kuhlman's first Album, MY SOUL TO BARE. Life as InspirationWritten by Mary Kuhlman, and produced and engineered by Bill Cuson in 2004, MY SOUL TO BARE combines Modern Pop, Latino, Country, Jazz/Blues, and Rock & Roll, while its themes reflect God’s love and presence in our lives in times of joy and tribulation. I COME TO YOU is a prodigal daughter song. Mary wrote JOURNEY HOME after listening to the personal testimony of a 14 year old who sought solace in the destructive vices of the world to replace the parental love that she did not have at home. The song reveals God’s comfort and healing given to this girl and others who live at the House of Hope in Traverse City, MI. AUTUMN OF MY LIFE poetically sums up the grief of losing a spouse and the hope that is restored which Mary witnessed through the experience of a close friend. HIS LULLABY is a lullaby for adults who need soothing at the end of a day. Parenting our children through the many stages of life requires HEALING HANDS that heal, care, and love our children as God loves us. When a member of Mary's church was born with a brain tumor, prayers of hope were poured out to him. Even though the doctors tried, the tumor could not be removed. Months later it disappeared and they found themselves full OF MERCY AND GRACE a revelation of God’s holy face, as the lyrics go. Mary's husband Paul is a pastor and his sermons have also inspired many thoughts that later became song.
